To foster inclusivity for all feeding individuals, Perinatal Services BC has updated its universal breastfeeding decal to include chestfeeding. This change reflects our commitment to recognize and support diverse feeding relationships, fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone. It aligns with the 2024 National Breastfeeding Week theme, "Closing the Gap: Breastfeeding Support for All."
#NBW2024 is an opportunity to advocate for improved infant feeding support for all families in British Columbia.
Display these in your office or workspace, and encourage local community spaces, organizations and businesses to do the same!

- Develop Workplace Guidelines: PSBC has collaborated with the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA)'s People and Culture team to create guidelines for employees expressing, collecting and storing human milk. This initiative reflects the goals of "Closing the Gap: Breastfeeding Support for All."
- Encourage Adoption of Best Practices: We invite all B.C. health authorities and workplaces to consider implementing similar guidelines. Supporting employees in their return to work or as they welcome a new child can help create more inclusive and supportive environments.
