The Perinatal Services BC Steering Committee is a collaborative forum in which the Provincial Health Services Authority and Perinatal Services BC work with health authorities, the Ministry of Health, and academic and professional organizations to improve perinatal health across the province.
The Steering Committee has a shared vision and goals and ensures there is system-wide coordination, identifies and resolves issues, and advances new and innovative approaches to perinatal health.
The principle of client-centred care is at the foundation of addressing the committee's responsibilities. A sustained focus on shifting the culture of health care in BC to put clients at the centre will drive policy, accountability, and service design and delivery in the coming years.
